Mold Problems?

When there's a water intrusion, like a roof leak or leaking water line, mold can quickly become a problem in your home or business. Mold can affect your health and can also cause significant damage to your property. Fortunately, SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock has the training, protective gear, and specialized equipment necessary to handle your mold problem.

Mold in school in west Texas

When mold was discovered growing in the basement of a school, drastic measures had to be taken to ensure the safety of the students, teachers, faculty and staff. Containment was built out of heavy duty thick plastic draping along with sheets of plywood so that the plastic could not be accidentally ripped or broken. The entire basement was put under negative pressure so that no other parts of the building could be affected and air scrubbers were placed to help clean the air while the demolition and cleaning was being done. All work was done while the school was empty as not to disrupt the work day. The demolition and cleaning was done quickly and efficiently with little disruption to classrooms.

Mold growing on sludge

When a sewage leak was discovered under a building, SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock's expertise was called upon to help clean up the mess. It was a very tight space for our crews to be working in but they suited up in PPE including--TYVEK suits, full face respirators and heavy duty gloves to do the work. All of the slug and biohazard materials had to be scooped, bagged and carried out to a waiting dumpster to be dumped off-site at a landfill. As you can see in the picture, the slug had been sitting long enough to start growing mold on the top layer. This job was one for the record books but SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock cleaned it up and made it "Like it never even happened."

Mold in empty building

When mold was discovered in this empty building, cleanup had to be done to prepare it for future occupants. The building supervisor couldn't believe how quickly SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock was able to get the building under negative pressure and containment built to start the cleaning process. We make mold problems "Like it never even happened."

Mold In Ductwork

When SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock was called to investigate an odd smell in the warehouse of this distribution center, mold was discovered in the ductwork. After containment was set up around the large air handlers, we were able to perform a "lock out, tag out" and crawl inside the ductwork to hand clean the long trunk lines under negative pressure, to keep from cross contaminating other parts of the warehouse and make it "Like it never even happened." No job is too big or too small for SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock to tackle. Contact us for all your mold remediation needs.
