Do’s and Don’ts Post Flooding

• Do:
  • Contact your local SERVPRO® at (806)780-6311 of South and or Southwest Lubbock as soon as you are aware of the damage.
  • Turn on Air Conditioner in warmer months.
  • Collect and re-locate all colored rugs from the affected floors.
  • Utilize mopping and dabbing methods when trying to get rid of excess water.
  • Place all artwork in a safe and dry place.
  • Remove stray items from the affected floors.
• Don’t:
  • Use a vacuum to get rid of excess water.
  • Switch on any sort of fixture that is connected to the ceiling if it is wet. If the affected ceiling is starting to sag then stay out of those rooms and notify SERVPRO immediately.
  • Use household electronics such as televisions and other appliances.
  • Leave any sort of cloth material in the place that damage occurred.
