Buckled wood floor in Lubbock, TX

When the family living in this home came home from vacation they found that a pipe had leaked under their home and affected the wood flooring in their living room and kitchen. SERVPRO of Southwest Lubbock was called to pack and move the contents, remove the damaged flooring and lower cabinets so that the structure of the home could be dried properly. After everything was dry, the homeowner then hired a contractor to come in and replace the flooring and cabinets.

Church basement has water damage

When a pipe burst in the ceiling of the church basement gameroom, action had to be taken quickly to minimize any damage done to surrounding rooms or contents. All games, furniture and contents were relocated to another room of the church while construction was done to the room. Ceiling tiles had to be removed to access the broken pipe, affected carpet was removed, cove base was taken off the walls to allow air movement to the sheetrock. Specialized equipment known as an axial air mover was used in this room to move air around and dry the ceiling while dehumidifiers helped to dry the air in the room. After everything was dry the church was able to get contractors in the room to replace the carpet, put the cove base back up and replace the ruined ceiling tiles and make it "Like it never even happened".

A small leak can cause huge problems!

On Monday night, when the last person left the office, everything was perfect. Then Tuesday morning, everything changed. A small pipe in the wall caused a BIG water damage and shut down the entire plant for the day. SERVPRO was able to extract the water and set drying equipment while their IT support got their computers back up and running in record time.

All in a Desiccant's work

This is one of our desiccants. Think of it as a giant dehumidifier. This desiccant was brought into action for a highly trafficked building at a local university that experienced basement flooding due to heavy rain.
